My dad and i are doing everything we can think of, we simply can't get it that last little 1/4" or so.

how the hell do you get these things to flex far enough?

right now the car is jacked up in the center of the front axle as reccomended. we've tried pushing it, pulling it, standing on it, prying it, etc.

we're about to drill a first hole in the tower just to be able to stretch the bar far enough to go over the bolts, then we get to drill ANOTHER hole for the third bolt hole for the final mount. This is something i really don't want to have (two holes in my tower? nooes)

anyone have some helpful ideas? fast?

you supposed to jack up the car by the front subframe...

just yank till it fits...

i kinda had to put some downforce on the front tires to spread the struts out a bit.

i'm having trouble getting it to stretch far enough to get on there.. DOH.... jacking the car up probably wouldn't help this.

well i got it on.

stupid me.. i was just following common directions.

unjacked the car..

A pipe clamp, 2 zip ties, a rubber covered wall-hook, a 10lb sledge, a wrench, and me standing on top of the strut bar later.. we got it to stretch far enough to get screwed down..

just a little paint damage to it here and there.. i guess i'll touch it up with red nail polish later.

Wow what a crazy way to get it on. I had a lot of trouble too but jacking the car up while someone else tried to put it on at different lengths got me a fit.

What kind of car and strut bar is this?

mine slipped right on with only a veyr small amount of effort... i guess its just depends on how flexed your body is....
