View Full Version : GB: Feeler Adjustable Sway bar links

No Longer a feeler. These are custom made by myself and I just got done doing my second group buy threw mye28.com.
I currently can make links for any e30 with any combo of stock or aftermarket sway bars or lowering springs.
These links are designed to eliminate preload from your old sagging suspension and to help restore the factory geometry of the sway bar when you lower your e30.
For example on my e30 with m3 sway links when lowered this is what happened
http://www.r3vlimited.com/gallery/files/7/4/5/1/PICT0002.JPG
As you can see the sway bar is at an extreme angle and this quickly cuased the sway bar bushings to crack.
Here are a few pictures of links I've made
Rears for Aftermarket E30 sway bars

Does away with the U-shaped bracket on the trailing arm

For this to happen I'd have to have at least 5 people interested and pricing would be $55 shipped for fronts, $45 shipped for rears or $90 shipped for a set(any combinations)
Payment will be needed threw Paypal to hpiman@email.com or by Money order(pm for address)
The cut off date for the Group buy is March 26 It will take ruffly 1.5 weeks from that date for me to order all the parts and assemble the links and then you should have them in your hands around April 7(assuming all parts are in stock from my supplier and there are no other delays)
These are very simular to links that GC, Turner, and Ireland engineering sell but for half the cost
Above are the currently available options so for an E30 with m3 style front links lowered 1" you would want item #4
So just post your name and what item # you want in the following way
1. name, item #
2.
3.
etc...
I'd go for a set of fronts. Stock mount points - not M3 tabs

Some pics of how bad the preload was on my friends E28 before we installed the links, you had to majorly try to get the stock links installed.

Ya the rear's get preloaded also, it is not noticed as much becuase of the way the bar mounts.
I forget to mention but with the rear's you have to enlarge the hole in the trailing arm just a tad, it's easy to do and just takes a second. Instructions are included with the links on what needs to be done.

I don't know about IE's bars, but ST's don't come with front links, only rears because they connect to the new rear swaybar differently.

Ya some companies include links and some don't. Ireland bars mount differently in the rear hence why they include links.

Ok Update, I just got off the phone, they are out of stock of the turnbuckles for the front #5 links, so instead of calling they just put the order on hold untill the parts would get in stock(sometime in may). Any ways they are shipping everything they have in stock, and they will go in the mail tommorow meaning I should have them Thursday. This will push back the expected arrival date to everyone to probally the 12th or 13th. The only people the out of stock parts are affecting are golde30 (cary), and 2002maniac( Cameron). I'll be ordering the turnbuckles from another supplier(way more expensive but I'll take care of it). So you guys should also expect your parts around the same time. I'm sorry again about this, it would of been nice if they had called or emailed saying hi you want us to ship what he have in stock :curse:
I'll keep everybody updated as to the status of your orders.

does this go for the e30 m3 style front links also? i cant see there being much difference loaded and unloaded when running a coilover setup with 450F springs...

04-17-2006, 08:13 PM
the brackets need to be drilled with a 3/8 drill bit.
Yes the suspension must be loaded, other wise you will get preload on the bar, yes with coilovers you could change the adjuster to eliminate preload but you still need to have the suspension loaded. You could install them with the car in the air, but that basically elimnates the point of having adjustable links. Ride height from left to right is not the same so once the suspension is loaded more then likely one link will need to be longer then the other so that there is no preload. On my car I have to have my passenger link set about 1/8" longer then the other so that there isn't any preload.

ST rear bar, i have links for that but i may consider these for the rear.
The front is dropped on h and r sports 1.3-1.5ish i'd say. I may change it up and go GC here soon though but i was just more wondering the price. There is no front bar upgrade for an ix so these are a nice mod.
