The last meet was pretty fun.

Do to some idoits in a 318, most of us had the rare oprotunity to get our e30's R3V'ed!:multi:

All in all, it was a good, honest attempt at getting the guys together, and a first for me.

And this time around i expect projects to be done and cars to be in full force and numbers. :D

A friend down the street from me is buying an m52 swapped e30 froma guy in salem. Already we have one more to R3v! haha

I had some fun tonight prepping my plastic motor for install later this week. Water pump replacement for the win. I'm really tempted to swing the extra fundage for s52 cams while the motor is out, but then I would have to get a new chip, to take advantage of the mods ive already done plus the cams.... too exspensive for my blood.

So les schwab waffleswaffleswaffleswafflesed with me today, i was under the impression that my dad ordered struts for me, when really the only thing i had was h and r race springs. NOT COOL.

so when they tried to install my SPRINGS (which i had no idea they were going to roll them with the stock struts) they called me a good 2 hrs into it, saying that they got the rear ones in, but that i needed a new bushing on my control arm! so they wouldnt do the fronts, and would let me roll out with out a new bushing.... i ended up spending 200 dollars today for some shit that i didnt need. GREAT!

now i have a chip, air intake, and AC shnitzer exhaust that im too pissed of to install.

I need some beilstien sports NOW, does anyone have any, or do i have to do this shit myself and buy new ones.

Just to add a little more clarification, and so you guys can plan your caravan accordingly, here's where we're meeting in Bend, and at what time.

11:00 AM: Target - parking lot
63435 N Highway 97
Bend, OR 97701

This Target is RIGHT on HWY 97, and I'm talking right when you first enter into Bend, coming down via the Portland / Govt. Camp / Madras route. The parking lot is huge, and there's more than enough room that we can get everyone together without having to worry about being to close to other cars. From there, we can all head back to my house so you all can rest for a bit, stretch your legs, and get ready for a truly awesome drive. This will be an awesome summer meet, I'm beyond stoked.

BTW, everyone be sure to bring whatever you want to BBQ, and this is BYOB! For those of you that aren't of legal age, I'm down for going out and picking up beer/booze, but bring your own money. I live less than half a mile from an awesome liquor store, as well as a Safeway, so we can always go get our goods from there.

Great idea, those H&R's are crap on the e30 compared to the e36 springs. IE Stage 3's and GCs are in a whole separate league. I tore down my entire old motor last night ;) Now I have a random crank, block, pistons, rods, and a rod lying on the floor of my garage. :)

The whip should be a little cleaner by then, new engine, and ton of small little things that, well, let's just say they added up to why I got my car for so cheap :)

And about those i Valve Springs, I'm gonna have to pass on the set. My plans (like yours...) have traveled in another direction that involves an extra gauge in the car that contains the letters "B-O-O-S-T". I figured I might aswell turbo the beem with having half the parts in my garage already from my last car.

BTW, I traded my MegaSquirted Volvo 240 running 15 pounds for my e30. :) There is absolutely no comparison, I love my e30 even if it's been on stands longer than I've owned it :(

Progress here, too. I brought the 325is wreck that I bought to my shop.

Steering rack attack this week! Motor and tranny mounts, new front tires too.

Hopefully gonna be able to get my IE dealership agreement done and camber plates in too...assuming shipping happens quickly enough.

I did get the fender roller back. Anyone wanna come down and help me work on the POS and roll their fenders?

Maybe I can have a working stereo in the thing, too.

No promises, Josh, but I am certainly gonna try. It would be easier to do at my shop, with air, etc, but I am gonna try. They guy rents it out over the web, shipping it with a deposit and such. So when he rents it out, it is gone.

BTW, I took a close look at the e-brake console on the wreck. Vinyl is torn at the extreme lower left corner. Sorry!

As far as the rest of the work, since I couldn't get it together by the time I suggested (waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles, it is hard trying to get a shop flying and have a life and keep any kind of schedule)...

Well guys, the new front tires are here, rack and new filter are here, motor mounts, tranny mounts...but no camber plates.

I am gonna be working on the thing during my normal workday, getting what I can done...rack and front tires and mounts and belt on AC.

Best of all, I have the fender roller here, can do mine and whoever shows up!

The LCAB's are raping me, I waffleswaffleswaffleswafflesed up the install of the Powerflex bushings, and it may or may not be fixable. If it is, in a decent amount of time tomorrow (morning) I will be able to have her back on the ground in prob 3 hours, and then off to alignment/tires I go. But even then its a toss up, my Saturday or an e30 meet? Not sure at this point, frankly.

Oh and hey Josh, thanks for the heads up on those undercover GT's, almost got nailed by one. Saw him waiting about a half mile ahead and I held off as my gut told me too. Sure enough when we passed him, white with 2 blue racing stripes, pulled out behind us as I was leading. Followed us for a few then blew by. The only way you could tell was once he lit up to pull someone else over ahead of us! Phew!!

Oregon State Police are now running a fleet of undercover Mustang GT's with NO MARKINGS WHATSOEVER. These things even have standard license plates. They are white with 2 blue racing stripes up the hood and over the car. The only lights they have are red and blue LED's in the hood scoop, as well as in the grilles and above the rear view mirror.

Its an Autopower bar. Most people get the sport one, a waste in my mind. I found out that the sport bar and the race one, are identicle. The race one however is a stronger metal. Heavier too. I also got the bolt in cross bars. With all padding etc, it ended up running me about 550. A bit more than I had planned. Its best to order more than one at a time, or for different people to save on shipping. 400 bar, 100 shipping, 50 padding
