Sundays....GO HAWKS...BBQ at Crivs!!!!!

I go over there pretty much every Sunday for the game and I guess I can invite everyone else. Show up about 30 min before kick off.

Sorry Criv. I guess if you don't feel like showing we can all just use your TV and eat your food. ;)

Werd, we need another Bend BBQ, with another drive up to Mt. Bachelor.

I've got a much more fun route to take this time...

DarkWing6

It should be a PNW rule that all future meets happen in teh greater Tacoma area. We have a bulk of the people so that makes it so less people have to travel. That and all of us are lazy.... :)

tonytony

our air is cleaner down here, so i vote for cleaner air:)

We should do the Mckenzie pass this time. Its like 33 miles though.

I would be down for this but I would also like to see a pdx meet too so maybe th WA and the OR guys could come out.

I'd probably be down if it's going to be a real meet/photoshoot/small drive, but it's a bit far to watch a Seahawks game LOL

DarkWing6
10-10-2006, 12:38 PM
The Hawks game probably isnt the real meet. Thats just us getting together like always. I guess we should start discussing real dates.

What we need is someone in like Battle Ground who has a cool facility...like hot tubs, naked slave girls, all of that crap...or maybe just a decent place to wash up before a drive-n-shoot.

I don't think that's fair, most of you guys live there. That means anytime there's a PNW meet, anyone from Oregon has to drive half a day to get there. For me, that's a 6 hour drive, and especially considering I make the trip once a year already to Seattle. I know it's not nearly as much of an issue for Portland area guys, but that pretty much excludes Daniel and myself from every meet.

Van Westervelt
10-11-2006, 11:06 AM
Portland seems like a happy medium. :) In addition, within a few months, we are going to have quite the swapped 24v crew runnin around down here.

besides EVERYONE already knows where my house in portland is. :pimp: Perfect medium, especailly cause I dont need to drive then.

Its ok, some of us are 5 hours east of the mountains, in spokane, from tacoma also, so we've got one hell of a drive as well as you.

robbieosterman
10-11-2006, 12:42 PM
I'm in Ellensburg... which is about 2 hours east of Seattle...

I'd love to come out and meet some of you guys, just gimme a location and place that's not too far (yes, portland is a stretch.)

I'm up in BHam, and wouldn't mind bringing by new/broken and kinda crusty E30 out to come and meet some R3vers.

Tom, Curt, myself, salem guys, and everyone else that we dont know in portland with secret 24v's. Now that's a lot. Plus POrtland is a much kooler city and crazy twisties are only a few minutes drive away every which way you go.

StereoInstaller1
10-11-2006, 08:32 PM
PDX is about 2.5 hours for me...I am just not willing to go too much more than that. Seatac is just too far for R3Ving...the picnic is gonna be HUGE this year though. I plan on me and Nigel making it, in our "Father and Son" cars.

I'm totally kidding. I think we have a happy medium now with all the different cities/areas hosting them from time to time. That way we all get to see each others home towns and let some people not have to drive all the time.

tonytony
10-11-2006, 10:02 PM

Mot

Ya, PDX is only fair, We have done one in Bend, one in Tacoma, and one in Eugene.

Tony, Springfield is next to eugene, 2.5hrs is a fair estimate on time..

Besides We all know the Ttown guys need to try driving south for a change. I know you guys can do it, ya'll spent 3 weekends at my house :pimp:

So I think we should do a PDX meet when Josh roll's up to show off. I have made it to all the meets and I've only been around since May. The only PDX one we had was lame. Shoulda all come down for the meet 2 weeks ago. I am there ehrnever it is, and my bitches will be too :)

I'd be interested. Seattle or Portland works. Home is Portland, but I go to school in Seattle.

BTW, any of you seattle drivers know where some good (no traffic, fairly safe) twisties are? I need to take advantage of this dry weather while I still can.

We should do this sooner rather than later. Rain isn't fun for driving and usually doesn't make for good lighting in pictures.

assuming mine and tom's car will be done this time i'm down for whatever but PDX gets the numba one vote, or Bend i've never been to bend, hell even the drive down there seems fun to me. Lonely Hwy with a bunch of e30s sounds good to me!

the title of this tread as follows: Wa e30 meet

Number of posts from washington in this thread: 19 (twenty if you include this one)

Number of posts from oregon in this thread: 32

soo how bout we have a meet in washington guys? considering oregon just hijacked this thread....

(again i have nothing against oregon, or the people of oregon. it just that this thread was about a washington meet, not an oregon meet. not all of us can afford to drive down to pdx or bend. and for the record, i see alot more oregon e30 meets than washington ones)

Looks like Im gonna hijack this thread officailly, So Yes the next meet is in PDX, no ifs ands buts about it. Ive been to 4 meets in Tacoma, 1 in bend(granted I was there all of 20 minutes as josh will point out) and 1 in eugene last year(Which James and 2 other WA guys showed up for). I really think its only fair.

As for any one who complains about gas milage. I drove my 2.7i e30 to Santa Barbera, avg mpg 13.5, Yes 13.5. You have any idea how much that cost me?
I filled up 5 waffleswaffleswaffleswafflesing times each way, maybe more....

The engine builder (who will remain nameless) chose to run off the euro K/L jetronic hybrid combined with the eta bottom end equaled some really shitty tunning and terrible gas milage. I got rid of the motor before I even bothered to convert it to megasquirt and give it a decent tune. When It was dyno'd it was running damn rich down low and lean up top :(

Simmer down there, sport...

The last big E30 meet was in Washington at Jame's house. If you didn't make that one, it's your own fault. There are E30 meets in Washington all the time, more than are in Oregon. And no one "hijacked" anything. I simply suggested that we need to have another meet in Bend, not suggesting that this one be moved to Bend or Oregon at all. It's really nothing to get all that upset about. You requesting that the meet be held in Washington and complaining that Oregon is too far for you to drive is is just being hypocritical, since what you're proposing exludes those who feel it's too far to drive to Washington.

It kind of amazes me that no one though of this sooner, but has anyone ever given any thought to arranging something that meets halfway?

Yes, but I'm one of the ones it affects the most, which isn't anyone's fault. Anywhere there's a meet, unless it's here, is a solid 5-6 hours of driving time round-trip, even to Portland.

At any rate, it's clear that a happy medium is never going to be achieved.

Dude it takes me 1:45 TOPS to get from eugene to downtown portland... it isn't so much the drive as it is just having a day that I can get away that matches up with these meets.

OMFG joe you dont know half the story of my night!!!!!!!!!!! well wendy is my friend trent's gf's older sister which is hell of a partier. Anyway i dont remember anything after you bought me a drink syrsly. from what mytrent told me is that some fat ugly chick was getting up on him and trying to take pictures with him and i stepped in and regulatated, she came back for more and i had 16 in the clip and one in the hole and she got regulated by myself. she ran to the bouncers and cried and i got escorted out hahahahaha. and then some how my friend and i decided to walk home( worst decision ever) instead of driving with the friend i was proctecting.....dont ask why cause i dont know myslef.......

I have word mots car is going to be back in his posession next week so lets get this started. everyone knows not everyone is going to make it to the meet no matter where or when it's set. lets just give enough notice so people can arrange time off. Next time i'll invite you to our drunken stuper nights so you wont feel left out curt;)

9 pages? I show 4... :D

And Kruzen just posted a potential date. Keep in mind however, that by Nov. 4th, it could be dumping snow on the mountains, in which case, there's no way in hell I'm driving over to the valley.

cramer
10-17-2006, 12:05 PM
no, but the question should be, do you want to do a clutch ;) Tech days are for you to work on your own projects.. remember, don't be like Grant :P

I think it's something you can get done in a tech day, but keep in mind - this isn't a shop so no lifts. (yet at least :D)

It's not a track day, it's a bunch of stations working on different aspects of car control. It's the first step into getting on the track for a lapping day.

Mot
10-17-2006, 01:45 PM
ya, Im only doing it so I can go with the CCA at the next trackdays... Ive already signed up for track days down here at PIR that dont require car control clinics or bs like that.

Every one should just come to my house, my dad will make BBQ, we can go for a nice drive, then chill.
