I have relaxed both of my cars fuel pumps the relays click the fuel pump one clicks numerous times. I can't find anything via Google search. The car has spark and it seems like the system is getting pressure. I know for a fact it's not the computer I have a spare and it still dosnt start.

What's been done

Brand new fuel pumps
New ignition system
Relays checked ( it clicks a lot)
Ecu checked

What are your suggestions

Well, time has finally allowed for me to start working on my E30. I'm an 18 year old high school kid so I don't have countless hours to work on it.

A little background on the car:
Sitting on JOM coils front and back
Currently running 16x8.25 XXR's, not a huge fan of them but they are OK
Fully adjustable rear subframe
Runs like crap
3" straight pipe, yikes!
Running 16x8.25 fronts and 17x9.25 rears in this photo:

May 24th:

Here's my lovely little work space, crammed on one side by a boat and the other by an F-250. Don't be fooled, it's Laguna Green. Fairly dirty from sitting outside and driving it around in some dirt.

Started by pulling out the drivers seat (Also is that wire the Occupancy sensor or...?):

My carpet cleaner/shampoo thingy broke so I improvised and used a shop vac and the shampoo in spray bottle and used some elbow grease to scrub it in. Looks alright, better than before:

I'm headed to Grand Terrace, California in November. The plan is to fly over there for work, tour a factory, get some training, and drive an E30 back home. Anywhere in the Greater Los Angeles area works for me. I plan to be there for a week total.

noises from a fan & beltless M20. Engine toast?

Please help me identify this noise. I thought it was either my pump/alternator belt, or maybe the fan, but after removing both and running the engine for 20 seconds (and taking this video) I'm positive it has to be something else.

Timing belt or bearing? I can't tell if it's coming from the top or bottom of the engine, but I can tell it's coming from the front, and that it's vertically inline with the crank and cam shafts.

Of note, this recording loses a tiny bit of the high pitched sound. In other words, in the recording it sounds more mechanical... though I suppose not much.

I noticed this sound starting about... 30-60 miles ago, give or take 20 :rolleyes:
It usually made it on start up, and then wasn't there by the time I rolled into my destination. This is why I originally thought it was a belt. It was only ever audible at idle. The last time I arrive home, I realized it was still making the noise, and it was at this point I parked it until today.

What do you guys think?
