digger you are right, announcing CFM is very fair from consumer point of view. Stating that it is "race" is exaggeration IMHO, but that is normal marketing.

It's sad that there is so much snake oil sellers on the business. Any reputable tuner can hand port a blank AMC head 10-15% higher in CFM with similar total costs (no oversize valves needed).

AntParker, one possibility is to contact Atrex Automotive in Belgium, not in U.K but at least this side of the ball. Their 2.8 race engines perform around 320bhp, and measured with devices and standards...

I don't get how hub dyno adds any unknown to the measurement process. To my understanding it only removes the biggest bunch of uncertainity = tire (tyre deflection, compounds, pressure, temps, slippage)....

In the advent of hub dynos, I don't see the whp/bhp as issue. If we think pure engineering theory, 120hp/litre (real engine power, no wheelhp, no parasitic-loss-translated) should be doable for 2v engine...

I would personally put OEM throttle body back and drive happily. Power increase with throttle body enlargement is next to none, specially with forced incuction. BMW sized them properly already on drawing...
