Yeah that's it.
Various sources for blockoff plates for the back of the head, but they're easy to make out of a flat piece of aluminum.
Then cut/plug or replace the reservoir...

Probably hood alarm switch, afaik the alarm was a rarely ordered dealer option, but most(all?) E30s have this connector tucked somewhere around the fusebox....

Yeah I wasn't going to say shit, but I was also thinking it was weird to get that hot. I went the other way and was thinking too little timing, but I also have no idea how long they were on the dyno....

That jumper harness shouldn't make a difference. I think it's for a crank sensor recall. Hard to find info on it, but I think they changed the sensor and that harness hijacks +12V from somewhere (I think...

I had their subframe + RTAB in 95a on my old iX and they were great.
Have their 80a RTABs in my car now and they have been great.
The car already has solid diff/subframe mounts so they didn't...

I've heard they're less likely to crack and just by nature of being a repro casting, there's more meat to work with for porting and resisting typical damage.
That said, it's a lot of money....

The original cam sensors typically die from the wire insulation rotting away and the wires shorting together, giving messed up signal.
If it shorts the 5V to ground, it can mess up the 5V rail in...

I've seen diesels around, but I don't think they were sold in NA in any real volume (maybe not at all?) so options are either be a V8 or SCV6. I've heard the crank issues with the Diesels through LRTIME's...

Best spec. Would love one of these, but I'm also looking at E34 tourings more and more as well thanks to Varg and some other internet builds.
Carsandbids prices are high vs historical values, but...

I think almost everything I've been interested in for the past few years has priced itself out of contention (at least north of the border here)
Cheap truck would be convenient for this hobby...Last edited by Northern; 04-16-2024, 10:06 AM.

Yeah that's the full M3 firewall cover. The M40/M42 one is the same except for the battery tray piece, so if it didn't fit they'd have figured that out pretty quickly.

I built the 4-clutch 2.93 to replace a 4-clutch 3.73 that was entirely the wrong ratio for the ZF I have.
I only had about a week of driving on it so far, but it feels like the old one did,...

I really think the rear shock tower bar is pointless, and not worth the trunk space it takes up.
I haven't seen the engine bay of yours, so I don't know what cover you have, but I have the...

Why not to another G4x since you're already familiar (although I understand the appeal of something new)?
An E36X has the 88pin connector already, but would need a repin of the harness....Last edited by Northern; 04-15-2024, 12:15 PM.

Hopefully they used better vbands than on the MINI. The nut & bolt just look like one blob made of rust. If I look at it the wrong way, it's going to fall apart....

+1 to pictures and more info.
You should be able to tell what's what for power+GND based on the wire colour if you can pull the sleeving back.
I would double check the wiring for the...

So how does the seat line up when the front two holes are sort of bolted in like that? Like centerline of the seat to the wheel, arm room, etc?
Looks like all the seat kits including the...
