So we got the HPS 5.0 and installed them on a friends car, and I can say I still don't really like a Hawk pad. The initial feel is mush, you need to press about half the pedal before they start slowing...

I think you somehow found the second produced 318is ever. They made one car in 2/89 (VIN AD00000), and 6 in 3/89 (AD00001-AD00006).

Pretty awesome that you're fixing it up and keeping it...
