    My 1st BMW Project 318i

Well new to the BMW world but not to the automotive world.
Ive been tuning on VW's and Subaru's for the past 7 years and the son and I wanted to do a BMW.
    Found this one for $200.
I ended up trading it for a snowboard that I had gotten for free .
So technically , I got the car for free. :D

    1984 318i
    5 spd
    4 cylinder
    131k miles
    Doesnt start.
PO had replaced in the last 2 months.....
    ISV
    Spark plugs
    Fuel filter
    Cap and rotor
    Air filter
A few fuel and vacuum lines.
    Water pump.
Said it will run but not very well.
I have not gotten it to start as of yet.
It almost catches ignition upon the very 1st crank of the day , but after that it just turns over and never catches ignition.
Its getting fuel as you can smell it .
I just havent had time to work on it yet .
Its finally in the garage and now I can get familiar with it.
Starting with why it wont catch ignition and start, LOL.

    Heres a few quick pics.

1st diagnose why it wont start.
Once I find out why and then get it running , I need to decipher why its not running smoothly.
        Then .............
Compress the shocks on the bumpers to shrink the diving board scenario.
2.5" custom Header back exhaust with cat delete.
New 16" Borbet wheels and tires
        Small drop
        Front and rear upper sway.
        Paint .
        Thats about it.
Just want to build a fun economical daily driver that we can drive at open track night at PIR during the summer months.
Im sure more will be done as it always does, LOL.

Try not to sink too much $ into it , it's way easy to do :)

                  How's the running issue coming?

Do a compression check first, and then re-time it and adjust the valves.

Have you confirmed spark? I saw that you were getting fuel.
