Bought a ZF tranny w/ linkage, M3 drive shaft, and arm rest for my wife's E36 from Julien this past Thursday. I picked the parts up in person and installed this weekend.

Everything works great and would definitely do business with him again.

I bought an overhead panel for a manual sunroof car, along with what was supposed to be all the parts I need to convert from electric to manual. Also this package was supposed to include two switch blanks. Nowhere to be found.

I get a piece of cardboard folded in half with the panel inside, a piece of plastic inside it with the crank transmission inside, along with a few screws, and NOTHING else. No cables or any other parts to convert to manual. And no switch blanks.

The overhead panel had a HUGE crack in it. Of course this seller claimed shipping damage. Where the cracks were however, the part was yellowed. Those cracks were there for a LONG time. Also had a few rips, and the box around the check panel was busted all to pieces. The thing looked like it was just ripped out of the car.


Now on my end I was slow to respond and send the parts back as I had gotten very busy at work trying to keep our business going.... That was something I should have handled more timely but having work is a little more important.

I was told that I would be refunded the price for EVERYTHING. I just had to send the parts back.....I kept the transmission for the sunroof, and sent back the panel in the EXACT SAME BOX it came in.

I got a refund for the switch blanks that were never sent.




In the end it cost me $59 for the manual sunroof transmission that I kept. $57 for the initial purchase minus $10 refunded for the switch blanks, plus $12 to ship the part back.

julien is NOT a ripoff. Ive met him in person and gotten several parts from him, Of which ive been very happy with.
I never left feedback. But if i did it would have been Excellent.

When I thought I was getting a manual sunroof conversion, two switch blanks and a overhead panel in good condition....I'd call that getting fucked, not screwed.

Julien, understand that my initial reaction to this entire transaction was negative because of the stories we all here, and because I had never had to deal with this before. Having never had any complaints...

With that said I got very busy with our companies dealer meeting (basically to shmooze the dealers and play kiss ass-and show off new product), and did't send back parts until a few days ago. Being in the boating industry, and the build of fiberglass sport boats, the economy has hit us pretty hard and this dealer show was of paramount importance....Sorry for the delay.


My fiancee shipped out the overhead panel only. She shipped it usps priority so it should be there any day, but I don't have a tracker. I kept the transmission.
Sorry for the delay, and the general negative resonse.......If you don't have it by the 9th, and you get it after that deadline, feel free to do as you see fit.

Regarding the panel:

I'm VERY displeased. The overhead panel has vinyl coming apart two big tears in the vinyl, and two major breaks/cracks. These DID NOT happen in shipping as they are old, and the panel is yellowed inside the cracks and rips.....
I also expected some sort of cables or SOMETHING to go with the manual sunroof.

The transmission grinds and gets stuck like there is something broken inside it.

And I didn't get the switch blanks. Please work with me towards some sort of resolution as soon as possible.....I'm a bit peeved but in all honesty maybe a mistake was made. I'm giving you the oppurtunity to correct this transaction.

You have no grounds to stand on to slander my name on this forum. I have given you every opportunity to call me to correct matters in a reasonable time period (45 days from payment, 30 days from receipt of complaint). This panel was obviously damaged during shipping (the box has the mark on it and you even admit to it). I had paid for shipping insurance for just this kind of situation but you decided that your analysis of the cracks on that overhead panel were superior to my honesty. Like i've said before I sell good condition used parts, and always try to work my best to resolve an issue when there is one. This is why I have perfect feedback on r3v, bf.c, e30tech and ebay.

My advice to the community is to never deal with this person as he will waste your time and money.

I sold 3 grand worth of parts the month you got that panel off me.
Every customer was satisfied.
Why you are persuaded that I would want to scam you on a $20 panel, I don't even care to know anymore.

I don't care if you sold 1 billion in parts. Because I didn't buy any of those. What I got from you was grossly misrepresented parts, and missing parts. As well as an offer to refund the money when you got the parts back.


I wouldn't be surprised to see you selling this same panel in a month or two.......



And to clarify why I reacted in the manor I did, when I intiatially got it is because based on the condition of the things I got I KNEW what the end outcome would be. I would send parts back and get nothing. On top of being out the shipping money. Lesson learned. Trust no one.

I've done business with Julien for a while now, I bought a glovebox off of him that was exactly as described and once cleaned up was actually damn impressive for the price I got it for. I bought a 325i exhaust midsection off of him that functioned/functions fine. I will continue to get parts from him if he has them at an agreeable price, I've never once felt like he was trying to scam me out of anything. He's a good seller, I'll give him that, and if you have a problem with the way he is selling parts then perhaps PMing him would be the better method, or at the very least contact FedEx about the damaged package.
