Suspension overhaul, Long over due and a few other things.

Well I have been collecting parts for some time now and now has come the time where I get to do a full suspension rebuild along with a few other things that needed to be replaced.

So this is a photo of what I have.

Here is a list of what is in the photo.

    Reinforced and painted front subframe
    E36 328 steering rack.
New inner and outer tie rods.
    Power steering delete plate.
    New control arms.
    IE 22/25 sway bar kit.
    AKG rear subframe mounts.
    AKG trailing arm mounts.
    AKG dif mount.
    AKG offset cabs.
    AKG rear shock mounts.
    AKG Motor mounts.
IE Street and track camber plates.
New billie sports front and rear.
    Turner motorsport SS brake lines.
Ground control coilovers 500 front 700 rear.
New euro trim front and rear.
    Mishimoto alum rad.
    10 inch 1500 CFM fan.
Cross hair plates for my high beams.
All new bolts for the front.

Only thing that did not show up yet is the IE rear camber kit.
Im still waitting on that as always, sparco front strut bar and new bolts for the rear trailing arms and dif.
I just replaced the brakes with brembo blanks and PBR ceramics so thats not needed at this time. Iam going to ditch the ABS and run all new gas and brake lines when all of this work takes place. I have a leaky brake booster so thats being replaced at this time to.
Should feel like a brand new car.

I will take many photos of this while everything takes place. Should be fun.

Works for me. Gonna make it a bolt in assembly? Use an engine brace up top and drop the old SF our with everything on it, then use a trans jack to lift the new assembly up/in?

It seems like you only have one front strut.

What did all this cost you?

Some people would do it one component at a time.

$3K in just suspension? Damn son. Still, you're going to have one sweet-handling car afterwards.

                      yeah,
throw in an e30M3 5 lug conversion and you are really talking some money,
                      ask me how I know?
Imagine if you had to pay someone to install it all too...

what we do for 20 yr old cars is just hilarious....

Good stuff. I have to say the bushings aren't fun, but they are worth it. I need to score some camber plates and coil over sleeves and then step up to an e36 rack. Then my suspension will be pretty well dialed.

You'll have to tell me how the 328 rack is without power steering. I jettisoned that shit a while back and don't want put it all back on.

Not just suspension, I have the rad and a few other things in there that dont deal with it but it was in need of being replaced.
But in the end I would rather do it all at once instead of wait and replace a little here and there. Then I dont have parts fighting against each other. :)
