    teaser - plastic bumper convserion.

Due to lack of patience and not beeing a baller I decided to forgo the euro bumpers and head into plastic bumpers (w/ euro rub strip!........I'm almost as euro as Japandrew73 :-) )

Found the complete front end (less the is lip) from the pickers in hialeah. Removed texture on valence (as per Janderson) and dropped off valence and bumper at painter.........

    and now it begins.

    EFF DB's!!!!!!

    Getting there.....

    Heres the money shot.

    <TEASE>
Began the front plastic bumper conversion, installed valnce, is skirt, fog deletes and bumper.

Today received a nice present from tischer.........euro rub strip.......had to run to the pickers again, failed to get the harness for the blinkers - ripped it from an e36

    Will post back tomorrow!

only the best for the bradys

yeah this thread is gonna end w/ a massive fail......not doing the rear yet :-( - i want to find a rear apron to do it all at the same time.

regarding the rear bumper i might try another way - i'm curious as to how bad the 1/3 inch or so would look IF, you space out the rear shocks so as to allow the rear fender trim to sit flush BUT to have that 1/3 gap between the lower trunk/bumper.........IF its a bad space perhaps cut a 1/3 stip of plastic off the bottom of the bumper cover and plastic weld it to the top. haven't heard anyone do it this way - anyone wanna chime in?

This ish is bananas! It turned out superbly, waiting on the side bumper retainers. Gotta pickup some SEM paint (lip spoiler was textured w/ duplicolor paint but it looks like a washed out black), pop in the blinkers and the coup de twat (ha!) will be the bmp design bmw plate.

....and for the back.....anyone can help a nigga on sourcing a rear apron?

I agree. Suspension first, then spaced out 15" alpina reps (ima play them the eff out!)

Looks good for the front, When you going to spray the rest of the car so it matches what you just put on?

gonna be quite a while before a full re-spray is done; prolly 8-10 months away :-(

I think that looks rather good!

Your old bumper fillers are in good shape, would you be willing to part with them? I'm in greater FtLauderdale area and could pick them up :D
