    Calypso Vert Tear Down/Build Up

    Hailing from Mililani Hawaii..
This is my 1991 318ic M42 powered calypsorot build.
    94,000 miles

This car is a joint personal/school build. (I donated the car for learning purposes, but right now It sits in my garage)
I'll document the progress of the lovable money pit for now.

This has become a familiar sight now days. Also, best feeling every am I right?

First shipment of hell to come in. Full Urethane conversion, basically every suspension component replaced with, well something "better."
    Brakes redone and rebuilt/upgraded.
    All fluids replaced
Z4 shift assembly, all the usual first things you do.

    Exploded view

Strap says "Ich <3 Mein Auto" (I live in Germany half the year. It's complicated.)

Where I do my r3ving in between building.

What I'm working on at the moment. Engine Tear down/"Hands on learning experience."

    Intense Engine bay cleaning..

    Nice Color

EVERY part, and I MEAN every part is receiving the same attention to cleanliness. Policy: If something comes out of the car, its not going back in until its cleaned.

Currently waiting for the next wave of parts to arrive.
    X-Brace
Cooling component replacements (radiator, pipes, tubes, everything)
    Waterpump, thermostat, Electric Fan
    Engine Gaskets
Coil Over Plug conversion (Cmon Rob_e30!)
    Mark D Chip
    Exhaust replacement (needs on badly)
Front bearings (Amazingly I left this out the first time around)
Cleaning, Cleaning, Cleaning, and more Cleaning
And tons more stuff coming in from pelican.

JUST NOW starting the exterior work.
Did some business with Marakka for some euro smileys
    Pending an HID conversion
STILL LOOKING for some basket weaves
Basically, when I'm finally finished with the internals, I'll get started on the Euro conversion and overall exterior refinish and body work.

Doing it yourself is so gratifying.
    Car's getting along fine.

What kind of X-brace? I was under the impression that e36 ones didn't fit

              An X-Brace from Mason Engineering.
              Fits all E30 Models.

Does WONDERS for convertibles, don't know what kind of difference it'll make in hardtops.
