    Diff talk-1 Way, 1.5 Way, 2 Way.

For years now I have abused stock 100k+ LSD's with the standard 25% lock. They are better than open for sure but I know different custom diff options could improve my lap/run times. This will likely be my next upgrade but I'm still researching.

There are some threads lately talking about custom diffs but they are mostly talking parts and how different settings can be achieved. I would love to hear some driving impressions from you guys running custom setups and how they affect the handling characteristics of the car.

2 Way with anything higher than 25% lockup sounds like a bad idea for a serious track/autocross car (for deceleration). Open diffs under deceleration sound ideal but suck otherwise. The 1 Way high lockup diff sounds like the best of both worlds for autocross/track. Not sure exactly how the 1 Way would affect corner entry. It probably comes down to preference and driving style but what have your experiences been? Anyone running something in between?

Note: Mine is a stockish M20, lots of suspension/handling, right about 2600 pounds, always sticky tires. Not a daily driven car, used for autocross and track days. But I don't necessarily want to limit this thread to E30's only, just diff setups in general and the affects.

Look forward to hearing from you guys
