    245/50/15 Hoosier r6 on 15x8

Has anyone ran this setup on e30.
I know it does not clear stock fenders but i can go with bmp style flares. i was wondering if this setup is too tall or would make me run huge spacers.
I will me running it on the 15x8 TRMotorsport C1 Wheels

    I have the same wheels.

I run a 225/50 and have maye 1-2mm of clearance between the strut and tire.

When I looked yesterday it was with one side jacked up, but both looked pretty equal. I don't think that distance changes depending on suspension compressio; it's all below the lower spring perch.

I would think that tire would clear stock fenders if the car wasnt slammed. Though I run 275s on my E30 and they just stick out.
I think if you fudge around with spacers you should be ok. Id have to check in my storage unit but I think I have ran a set of those on some 15x7s and the tire was a v710. I had to run sum spacer on the front to clear the strut tube. Your side walls should be straighter than mine were.

            tires...

            I track my car on 15/7 ra 1s (225/50) ...

Im thinking 245 hohos will be fat and tall.....maybe too tall....squirmy, bad transient response etc..?..they should be on 9s Im thinking..

I just read an article on track handling, and its better to get a lil strtetch in a track tire for best set up....so do your 8s on 225/50s.......they will stick BETTER than 245s that are under stretched.
I love sitting down and just driving!

Here's a shot of the car I bought recently. 15x8, 245-50-r15 R6, heavily rolled fenders, no spacers, and a little rubbing on the front inner-fenders. It has coilovers, but without looking at it I'd have to assume that stock struts might get in the way.

have you had hoosiers before? the sidewalls are very stiff, and the tread itself is super light. 225's work great on a 6" rim, I can't see why 245's wouldn't work on an 8" rim.

If you are going with flairs run the 275/30/15s on a 10 inch wheel. Goodyear will be making this tire too.

it would be nice to start seeing other options for this size tire.

Goodyear realized they were missing out. I plan to pick up a set.

Actually I figured out that I can get the pro 1.2 dynamics wheels in a 17x9 on any offset.
So I think 255 in 17 will be best bet and lots of tires available.
Anyone have a suggestion for best offset to run in 17x9
