Anyone here use a f1 stage 2 as a DD?

I'm considering using a f1 stage 2 setup in my DD. I do plan on some drifting and mostly auto xing. Let me know how this setup works... I'm afraid a sachs might not hold up as well.

Appologize in advance as r3v is not iPhone friendly with the search feature.

why not a stock s52 clutch setup? it works great as dd, holds plenty of tq

F1 stage 2 is a fairly cheap setup as is.
Will the s52 clutch kit bolt up to a getrag 260 and m20 single mass? If so will it hold up to drifting?

s52 clutch will pnp to getrag 260+ m20 in the place of m20 setup.
I drifted my s52 and s54 with s52 stock clutch setup- its also the stock setup for s50b32 euro...

remove entire m20 clutch setup (dual or single mass), replace with entire s52 dual mass fly +clutch setup.
retain g260 throw out bearing and clutch fork and m20 pilot bearing.

I have driven this setup personally around town through insane 3rd world country traffic and on fwy expressway wangan battle runs; happy as a snail. the s52 pp is stiffer than m20 stock thats for sure.

many run s52 OEM clutch + dual mass happily to ~ 350+rwhp boosted. its a pretty stout item, mine was paired with a NA S54 @ 310rwhp on pump, 8400rpm redline.

My budget is limited, I was quoted 186.00 for a stage 2 kit. Not bad I thought. The spring tension for the pp is at about 1540-1610nm which is about 10-15% over stock. My flywheel is being shaved down to aprox 13-15lb range. This is the only part I need to complete my swap... just want opinions on who's rockin one right now.

I bought this for my E36 328i and regretted it. Its far too grabby and the clutch pickup point in the pedal travel is completely wrong.

IMO no good for DD. I prefer stock any day of the week.

s52 clutch is very dd-able. done it in crazy third world traffic and also oem in my e36m in sfbay.

Sweet! I'm ordering mine as soon as I get home from work! Seems like nobody else in the world is using this setup. I was a bit skeptical
