    E30 Megan Coilovers thread!

Ok hey guys while I'm starting my nitrous build I plan on doing suspension first! My fiend has Megan's on his integra for a year now and they work amazingly I've driven his car and it handles VERY well for a $900 coilover kit that comes with front camber plates as well.

SO! The point is I want this thread to be for E30 owners who have/had/will have Megan coilovers and well this thread to be an educator for them and as well as me! So I ask anyone who has had experiance with Megan coilovers especially on an e30 PLEASE post a review and your thoughts. And to people who are interested post your opinion!

Here's the link to the kit: http://dtmfiberwerkz.com/access/mega...1mm-p-585.html

In this picture the white e30 is on Megan's and it can even go LOWER:http://fatphos.zenfolio.com/img/s8/v10/p697684700.jpg

Detailed write up from start to finish install (thank you Panch007) http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=256774

I am wondering megan vs gc coils.

Megans have dampening and camber plates, but gc has been proven. I need something that goes low and drives fine (just for daily driving not autox).

    Anyone got any reviews

Megan's will let you go lower than GC i have a picture of how low you can go on Megan's and I'll link you to the picture because idk how to upload the picture haha. Performance wise GC are better I've driven an e30 with the full coilovers kit and I've driven the GC coilover conversion kit and the conversion kit IS NOT as good as the Megan's I had experienced.

yea thats pretty much how low I want to go. Except have it ride remotely close to stock, no bounciness.

Megans come with the camber plates uptop correct? What real welding do I have to do, just weld the fronts to the spindles?

Yes I'm 99% sure it's only spindle welding because there was someone here who had Megan's and that's actually his car and he said it was only spindle welding. He said he was happy with them. And as for the ride it comes 8kg/mm which is 450lbs and as for adjusting you got (+/-)2kg giving you a range of 350-550lb I think it's fantastic but I'm scared cause idk shit abuoutnthe welding part, but if you live near by I would be down to come over and lend a hand and defiantly learn as well.

I have mig welded, but looks like the coils are stainless, so they would need to be tig welded. I do not have access to a tig weldwr bummer

Exactly the type of shit I don't know about lol. If I get some true good insight on them I'll buy them and even start a group buy for 699 each set because I know a seller who will do 699 shipped for 10+sets

I've had Megans on a handful of cars, and they've never once steered me wrong..

Im curious about these as well! THey seem like a nice blend of performance and looks. And for 900 with cc plates i think its a killer deal, my only problem is i am no welder either...

Exactly what steers me away, if i knew about the welding thing i would all over them also because they have a 1 year manufacture warranty so if shit hits the fan as they say, we're covered. but also if you look on ebay they have megans for even as low as 750 brand new

The only thing that kinda sucks are the rear spring rates.

Yea ive seen that to, but if you look the are 750 for the springs and 150 for shipping, ive seen em priced at 850 but with 50 shipping, so either way its pretty much 900.

Ive heard you can contact them directly, and for an extra fee you can custom order spring rates and such. I have yet to confirm that though.
