    need help with ews2 bypass

edited: finally got it to crank(cut small green wire from engine bay and splice together two of the big black w/ yellow stripe under the driver side dash), now i just need a 413 red label dme chip.

so for the pass two days, i have been researching on the ews2 bypass. majority of the write up or videos on youtube are from e36. e34 is a bit different. i decided to cut the small green wire in the engine bay and still nothing, not even a crank. i was referring to this write up

then i proceed to cut the big green wire under the knee panel and still nothing. after reading some more, some say cut the black w/ violet stripe and still nothing. after doing more searching, i came upon another post from others e34 owner who had splice #1 and #3 and cut the green wire in the engine bay. after this it should crank but won't start since you need to replace the ews2 chip with a non ews chip (red label dme). i don't know what they mean by #1 and #3 wire and which green wire in the ebgine bay should i cut since there are 4 different green wires.

here is some pictures, help me out.
