Went to watch my friend today (car 42) and guardian angel motorsports, had a great time

E30 def seems to be the car of choice, wasn't expecting to see a Suzuki x9 or a retired taxicab lol, let alone a boat/car...def a very interesting mix of vehicles

Will have to wait till after Thursday, got call from work I have a 4 am wake up to evacuate our 16 jets to Florida.

Came in 59th overall out of 120 cars. Hour 3 today we got bumped in the turn coming off the hill and got spun hard. Sheared both engine mounts and transmission mounts. BUT driver limped the car to the pit. I sent team out to beg borrow and steal....we got all the mounts changed in 1.5 hours and went back out on track in 78th and to finish at 59th in 5 hours remaining was tough.

We finished 17th in class and it was quite competitive in B class. Mind you our 318is was a automatic and it had 219K miles. Transmission was dying toward end and Dunlop DZ101 were dying as well, next time we will pony up cash for the star specs.

Lot of teams were surprised that it did so well with so little preparation to the car. I never even changed the brake fluid, the transmission fluid or filter. we had functional heat and wipers with fluid which helped too.

Not sure how much cash we raised for prostate cancer but it was fun.

I was out during the last 2.5 hrs of the event and remember the boat being out with me too. If it dnf'd it came off pretty late in the end. We placed 14th out of the 133 entries in our very tired and now retired e30.

You had considerable more hp than we did. How many races have you guys done?

Many thanks to our camp neighbors they helped us out in two jams with parts.

They finished third overall. 133 entries, we were told 120 makes me happy to know that since it was our first event we can't complain at all.
