    Moving to Northridge, CA

Hey guys what's up? I've come to a point in my life where I've finally decided to change the way I'm living and the best route is to move in with my sister in California where she'll serve as my life's "drill instructor" lol My goal is to finally get my HS Diploma, then possibly go military to be a airplane mechanic or pursue a degree in something else.

I'm leaving behind what I like to call my 3 families. My parents, a secondary family which I've adopted and my BMW family. I'm going to miss them all terribly but I'm hoping I can at least replace my BMW family :)

How many of you guys live, or are near Northridge? What's the scene like down there? I will be bringing my E30 with me, no doubt about that. My name is Abraham, but you can call me Abe. Pleased to meet you guys

i live right next to northridge. honestly if your moving here into the san fernando valley, you can expect one of the biggest car scenes on the west coast. its nuts out here.

and the weather is bomb out here almost all year long.

No shortage of E30s in the SFV that's for sure! Plenty of meets to attend weekly and monthly.

Very cool guys :) I am coming from the PNW so I do have rather high expectations for my home state as far as E30's go.

Nice. Im a few miles from Northridge. As far as e30's go, you will not be disappointed. Like Matt said, we have good weekly, monthly and annual meets and drives. Oh and lets not forget about SoCal Vintage.

The only downside is the e30 picnic is quite a drive.

Some of the nicest E30s you see here are in the San Fernando Valley. Close - knit E30 community as well.

Abe, you could take the GED and knock that out pretty quick.

Dont forget that CA has pretty strict smog tests so your cars will need to have smog equipment. This was the only reason I bought that exhaust off ejnight. Im moving back pretty soon and I have more BS to deal with since my car is a 318 that has a swapped motor. Im not too worried as Ive dealt with them before, but still a pain. The headers will have to wait until all that stuff is done.

With that said, good luck with the move, cant wait to hang out with you again in Sunny SoCal ;)

Yep, Got mine in 1 week.

If you can and have the time though, HS diploma is better. I feel people look at you weird if you have GED as opposed to a diploma.

Northridge (the valley/SFV) is pretty nice, a little hot at times but, the e30 scene is more alive there than anywhere else out here., due to the fact that valley guys only want to drive down the street for man meats.

It's a definite sausage fest though, you'll enjoy it and as far as the "smog crap" goes, there's always someone who knows someone, who can help you out. ;)

See you when you get here.
