Well i blew a whole in my block on friday the 13th so i figure its time to do all the stuff i want to do with the car while its broken. But in the time being i need a car to drive so after a frantic search i found a car within a couple hours. I plan on fixing all the issues, making it better, and enjoying an automatic in LA traffic for the next year. Once my turbo car is done i'll re-paint Lemonade, toss in a 5 speed and sell it on.

Well. After a couple weeks of ownership i finally got the car up in the air. Well the back story as i was told by the seller is that monkey madness rebuilt the engine and edward texis went through the car and checked everything and all it needed was tie rods. Well i spoke to jeremy and he said all he did was install Sam Mousa's old engine. Never touched a thing on the motor cause the seller was trying to save as much money as possible. Then i talked to Edward. He never looked the car over. He just sold the 5 lug setup to him and confirmed the rear Bilsteins were new. Also the seller has yet to produce the rear bumper and trunk replacement or even make mention of it. Oh well. I've yet to have a good experience buying a car from a r3v member. I guess I expect everyone to be as honest as i am. Anywho, on with the progress.


Well as i mentioned the Trunk had some issues. I think the trunk may have been replaced at one point. There was alot of dirt in the paint and scratches. Plus the bumper was a DOTR.














Castro Motorsport was gracious enough to donate a trunk to the cause. Unfortunately i think it made me loose at least 20whp.





The next step was to work on the quarter panel. It was rubbing against the rear tire on dips. I know nothing about body work but with a handfull of body hammers and a couple beers i was able to get the general shape. Good enough for a little body filler.












Next was to get the car on the lift to see what was needed. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

I think I'll fix the immediate issues, get the 316 driving, and then sell Lemonade.
