    Stroker MLS gasket installation

    Probably a Digger response.

Any way I'm looking for information regarding how far beyond the head the air intake valve and exhaust valve will go with a 284/272 cam. Since the head has been shaved and the block decked it's going to be close to hitting the pistons. I was able to mount the head without the cam and used washers and play doo and a pinch bar to compress the valves about 5 mm until it hit the top of the piston.

    Any help will be appreciated

    Thanks Dwight

You'll need to install the cam belt, adjust the valves, and then turn the motor over with clay on the pistons. Your title says stroker. What pistons, crank, and rods are you using?

you need to have the timing belt so you can phase the two properly.

if piston is at TDC no way you have 10mm clearance with stock pistons

data for schrick 288 (dont have 284/272)

inlet the inlet valve tries to overtake the piston just after TDC usually the worst

        TDC 3.0mm
        +10* 4.0mm
        +20* 5.0mm
        +30* 6.0mm

        check before TDC to

check clearance at these crank positions if its 2mm more than this then likely good to go

exhaust side the piston beats the ex valve home by about same amount. the 272 lobe will be alot less than the 288 but can still check
