Shes a SQUIRTER! Fixed... So much work for simple fix.

LONG VERSION
so.... recently my cars been drinking coolant ( alot ) like a full expansion tank for a 20 min drive so i pressure tested it and coolant came shooting out of what i thought the heater hose. so i replaced the (top) heater hose and then i find out it's like shooting out the side of the motor right on top of the transmission. I obviously cant see down there but i was wondering if anyone has a pic of the motor ( side view ) or if anyone has had a similar problem.

SHORT VERSION
Coolant is shooting out of my motor when i rev it up and landing on my transmission, i've replaced the top heater hose, what else could be down there?

you didn't say what car you have.
some cars came with a heater thermostat looking thing, its attached to the heater lines. my friends car leaked from there.
there are 2 other hoses around that area. one small hose that connects to the back of the block and goes to the throttle body then connects to the thermostat housing and the other that goes from the back of head to the heater core.
this is for a m20 car.

just a thought maybe your head gasket seeps/squirts coolant

What Swanny said. I've broken one of those. My passenger said "I smell shrimp". I didn't smell it and was preparing a retort when I saw the temp gauge rising.

I noticed that smell too. Turns out I was driving past Red Lobster
