The red oil service light on my cluster is now always on, even when the car is shut off. First, is that enough of a draw to fully discharge the battery over a day or so; and is there any way to just disable the SI lights entirely, without screwing up anything else??

The SI board batteries have died. With the light left on, it will surely drain your starting battery. Remove the LED panel until you are ready to replace the Si board batteries.Owner - Bavarian Restoration
