I’ve been collecting all the pieces for a 24v swap, but I haven't found the time to begin the project. With work and life getting in the way, I’ve realized that I just don’t have the time to dive into something this involved, so I’m putting it all up for sale:
M52B28 from a 12/97 E36 328i auto sedan (VIN: AV58552), approx 80-90k miles
E34 oil pan w/ new pickup/dipstick, etc.
E36 engine arms
iX brake booster
and pretty much the whole OBD1 conversion package:
- 413 red label ECU
- E36 wiring harness
- all sensors
- maf
- throttle body
- fuel rail
- idle control valve
- ignition coils w/ valve cover + vanity covers
- intake manifold
- exhaust manifold
- metal tstat housing
- alternator/power steering pump/ac compressor
+ a set of rebuilt #21.5 pink top injectors
The motor itself is in the back of the garage, so I'm working on those pictures, but in the meantime here's everything else:
In addition to the above, I also have an M54B30 rotating assembly: crankshaft (same part as US S52 crank), rods, and pistons. The crankshaft hasn’t seen the inside of a motor since the PO had it inspected and polished by a machine shop.
Prices:

M54B30 crank/rods/pistons: $400
$1k takes it all
