    What is this?

Hey guys. What is this part? It was located on the driver side under where the abs tray is behind the headlight. It had a plug into it. Can anyone tell me what this is and if its needed? Thanks

    Yep, it's your car horn.

That's actually the horn attached to the OBC. It goes off if the incorrect code is entered three(?) times. The regular horn (or horns, depending on year) is more trumpet-shaped and made of black plastic.

That would make sense Elva. Do you know if it will be a problem if I leave it disconnected?

Most states require a functional horn to pass inspection

He has a functional horn. That horn is only related to the On Board Computer as stated earlier in the post and is only needed to beep once someone attempts entering an incorrect code on the On Board Computer. There is a way to lock the ignition circuit from the OBC and once locked then someone cannot start the car. The only way to start the car is to enter the CORRECT code. If someone trys 3 times and fails. That horn pictured starts to go nuts.

You can leave it disconnected without any ill effects.
