I have owned this car since 2006 originally purchased to replace my 84’ Targa as a daily driver. After driving for a year or two I decided I loved the car but wanted more performance. That is when I found Dwight of Zionsville Motorsports and the Orca conversion. Dwight was instrumental in the entire project providing engine, transmission, and diff as well as all of the other misc parts required. Dwight also convinced me that the steering rack conversion would make the car much more responsive. While performing the transplant I knew I had to upgrade everything else to handle the increase in power. It took well over a year and plenty of cash to put it together but the result is a wonderfully well balanced machine with plenty of power. The best part – it’s still all BMW!

I am selling the car because I have been working on an advanced degree and running a small business so I have not had much time to devote to working on much less driving it. It has been driven a few times a year for the past few years but spends way too much sitting in the garage.

The engine, tranny, and diff came from an 95 e36 sedan with 95K mi. The chassis has approx 110K mi (the odometer broke around 95K mi when doing conversion).

    Upgrades:

    Drive Train
    95’ e36 M50 with VANOS
    95’ e36 Transmission
    E36 quick ratio Steering Rack
Aluminum Radiator w New Fan Clutch
New Water Pump with Metal Impellor
    E30 M3 Clutch
    2.93 Limited Slip Diff
    Zionsville BMW Short Shift Kit
    Scorpion SS Exhaust
    Stainless Clutch Line
    BMW/Redline/Mobile 1 Fluids only

    Chassis Wheels and Brakes
Continental Contact 215/40 ZR 17 95% Tread Left
    Powder Coated Calipers
    Cool Carbon S/T Pads
    Cross Drilled and Slotted Rotors
    Stainless Brake Lines
    e21 Brake Booster
    Bilstein Sport Shocks
    H&R Springs
    Front and Rear Shock Mounts
    Racing Dynamics Sway Bars
    New Tie Rods
APEX ARC-8 17X8 Wheels with 1 Spare Still in the Box

    Interior/Exterior
New Top with nice clear rear window
    Complete Body Re-spray
    Rear Brake Light Delete
E30 M3 Seats with New Seat Covers from Creative Options – Vinyl Sides with Micro Sued Inserts
    Sparco Steering Wheel
    325 es Front Spoiler

The car is not perfect yet – there are still some unfinished details that I have not had the time to address.

    Items which should be addressed:

Small oil leak from valve cover gasket – I have the gasket just haven’t had time to change.
Needs both Relay bracket for the engine compartment and Airbox bracket.
Odometer broke at 94 K mi
A/C needs to be charged – I had new hoses and o-rings installed a couple of years ago.
    New top cover shocks
    Passenger seat release cable
Top release handle – I have the parts
Center Console – I have the parts
Window Seals and body seals need to be replaced
    Windows need to be Adjusted
    Misc Interior parts

    $12,200.00 OBO

My stable needs to have vert for weekend drives when weather is nice outside. Yours would be perfect but just not a good time, I have baby on the way and building a house so every penny goes there.

This is a great car and a great seller. I've bought items off him before, and have seen this car personally. Pictures don't do the justice, it's absolutely beautiful. Clean motor install. Good luck with the sale !
