New here, Not e30 but E24?

Hey guys I'm new here And I did have an an 85 325is that I sold, Now I'm Kicking myself and looking for another. But I came across a 77 E24. It has a busted starter, needs a new passenger door, new tires, new paint ect. But it comes with 4 five lug bottlecaps and a spare, it was a german import so everything is in german(which is awesome), comes with an extra ECU. It has the 3.3 engine, with 161k on it. The interior is decent the seats are in amazing shape. Carpet needs to be torn out, one small spot of rust on the whole car along with a few dings and dents. Has the original tools with it in the trunk. Doors open and close nicely and trunk the same. It needs some TLC but the guy is asking 800 for it and Im going to offer 4-500 for it. Hasn't run in 4 years. But over all needs some small things but what do you guys think? Sorry if this isn't the place for E24s but I figured i could get some advice from you guys. So far as i have priced it out i have about 400 to put into it to make it nice.

'77s are super rare. Probably a rusty pile of shit, but see it it has a dogleg...probably worth the risk. At any rate, post some pics'!

Rule #22 of r3v. Never, EVER, post a craigslist ad of a for sale car on here. Someone WILL snatch it from under you without a second thought.

You better go get it, or I just might.

Id still buy it. I bought one last year for $650 that was in similar condition (but it was rusty as shit, not one good body panel) and it had a dogleg trans.

Looks like it has a little rust/bondo, which could be trouble, and it's definitely a project....

                        but yes, still buy it.

Is that a washer-fluid bottle for the corner light?
