    FS: 1990 325is - Bronzit - Seattle

Like the title says, this is a '90 model 325is. It's Bronzit, with tan interior. This is one of the cleaner E30's I've seen. I bought it from Matt at Munich Evolution just over 2 years ago. That dude has 6 E9 CSL's, and more than a couple of M1's as well. Ridiculous.

Anyway, it's a 3 owner car that's been in Seattle it's whole life, purchased new at BMW of Seattle. 132k on the original and working cluster. I have a bag of all service receipts and records, as well as original owners manual and paperwork. It's been professionally re-sprayed once. There's a receipt for $5k for that one. All body VIN's match (except perhaps the hood). No accident history. This car is a non-airbag 1990 model, built in August of '89. It's the last of the 6-cylinder, no-airbag, sport package cars.

When I bought it, it was bone stock time-machine status. Original stereo (premium sound! haha..), original everything. Since I bought it, I've done a few tasteful mods/upgrades. I did the window trim shadowline-style with SEM black trim paint. I pulled the doors and window seals to do this so it would look original. It's been a couple of years, and there are just starting to be a couple of places that are flaking just a bit. Mostly around the trim connector pieces. I did the Z3 antenna conversion as the stock mast wasn't working anymore. The A/C had been converted to R134 before I bought it. I did the timing belt 10k ago, and put on H&R race springs with new Bilstein sports about 5k ago. Rogue rear shock mounts. Bimmerworld stainless lines. Control arm bushings, subframe bushings, trailing arm bushings, and diff mount bushing were all replaced with Condor parts. The diff fluid was also changed. It now has euro grilles in the front with smoked turn signal lenses, euro trim front and rear, and euro plate filler. I filled the front plate mounting holes, as it looks much better this way. I haven't been pulled over yet... All parts were purchased new. MTech II steering wheel. UUC sway bar kit front and rear. It goes around corners like a car should. All glass is original except for the windshield, but the passenger rear window has a pair of deep-ish scratches. I put an LED bulb in the 13-button OBC. Everything on the car works, and no check panel lights are lit. The A/C is getting a little weak so I think I need to recharge it. The one thing that doesn't work is the little factory flashlight in the glove box. I pulled the insulation blanket from under the hood as it was deteriorating slightly, but the foam pieces are still in place.

The paint, body, and interior are a solid 9.5 out of 10. There are few very small blemishes that I could point out, but they are extremely minor. On the interior, it has a set of black floor mats as well as black door handles. Everything is in excellent condition, and the dash has no cracks. The driver's seat bolsters do show some wear, but no tears or holes. The passenger seat has been used, but is in great shape. The rear seats look new. There is one tiny flaw in the headliner where the sunroof slides. No rust anywhere that I've looked.

The biggest cosmetic irritation is the "is" front lip. I had a RyanG splitter on it, and it got yanked off and run over when I was boarding a damn ferry boat. No valence damage at all, but the splitter was toast and the lip took some abuse. The lip is still fully functional and doesn't look bad, and I have another splitter ready to go on. I had paint protectant film on the lip so it actually held up fairly well. I also had the windows tinted lightly (35%). I touched up the undercoating on the rear valence but I hadn't done the rocker panels as I was planning on adding side skirts.

Mechanically, the car is excellent. The engine consumes no oil, runs strong, and sounds healthy. The transmission and diff work perfectly. I replaced the cap/rotor/plugs not long ago. I also cleaned the ICV. My next thing I wanted to do concerning the drive-train was to rebuild the shifter. It has some of the typical E30 loose-ness that's easily fixed. None of the wheels have ever touched a curb, but their original finish is flaking in some areas. The rears are better than the fronts, due to less brake dust. The one "previous owner" story it has is that they jacked it in the wrong place, and put a small dent in what I believe is the underside of the fuel tank. It effects nothing, but in the interest of full disclosure, it is there.

Anyway, I'm currently thinking I'd like to buy another motorcycle, and I don't have the time/money to put into the car that it deserves. I'm also having spinal issues that make sitting in cars painful, so there's that.

Price is $8,000. No trades unless you have a 2nd-Gen Aprilia Tuono, plus cash. If you live far away, I may be able to assist with travel. Call or text (425) 533-8588.

A couple of slight paint blemishes can be seen in this one. This is the worst of what's on the car, other than the bottom of the front lip.
