    1991 Fully Refreshed 318iS w/S52 Swap

    SOLD

I purchased the car in November 2013 and have driven it approximately 1500 miles since. The car was purchased as a weekend car while down in NC (Charlotte); the family move back to Chicago is in the works, so will certainly not have enough opportunities to drive it in the Windy City - especially in the winters.

    Selling price - $14K

Please PM me for info. Be happy to offer a private viewing / test drive to serious buyers. Car is currently located in Charlotte, NC.

    Pics below...

Complete build thread and history here from the previous owner.

Full disclosure: I did have a somewhat small self-inflicted incident back in February, where I scrapped a side walk. The car had front bumper damage, specifically the front lower bumper piece bent (metal piece) and scrapped the skid plate. Had it replaced with a new OEM pieces along with it took care of several misc items to make sure that there were no issues (ryanG splitter, iS lower piece, tie rods, skid plate, e36 m3 steering rack...). Personally I am very thorough and applied the same level of detail on any item that may have been suspect. Probably even went overboard and replaced a few parts that did not need replacing. However, the objective was to maintain the value and spirited drive-ability.

Over the past few months, I have added / upgraded the following - all of this was done in July 2014

    - Full GC S/A Touring Coilover Kit (w/GC fab'd and powder coated strut sleeves), $2200 (less than 300 miles on them)

    - New front OEM wheel bearings to keep the conversion simple ($200+)

    - Corner balanced / Aligned (amazing how much of a difference this makes), $300

    - Aluminum dual cup holder, $170 (http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=292015)

    - ESM 17" 004 Wheels

    - Yokohama S-Drive high performance tyres 205/45/17 front and 235/40/17 (less than 300 miles on them)

Having seen this car in person I can say it's probably the cleanest e30 I've ever seen in person. There are a lot of cars that photograph well but don't hold up in person. This isn't one of those cars. Well worth the asking price IMO. GLWS.

The first owner said he got the car with broken odometer at 189K. So is actual mileage unknown?

Does it really matter? Virtually nothing left from the car when it had those miles. This thing is completely rebuilt.

The part that worries me a little (because I am interested) is this:

"Full disclosure: I did have a somewhat small self-inflicted incident back in February, where I scrapped a side walk. The car had front bumper damage, specifically the front lower bumper piece bent (metal piece) and scrapped the skid plate. I got to see the car when Joel had just finished it up at Vintage in 2013 and saw just how nice the car came out. I was interested then, but he wasn't ready to sell. Of course not long after (and I had already made a new purchase) he put it up. Anyway, this "incident" as you call it sounds a bit more severe than you make out. You obviously bent a rim and the entire lower valance of the car so that is a little more than scraping a curb right? I see you are selling the old wheels and only 3 of them. I also realize you did a lot of work for that repair and mention going above and beyond, but did the oil pan not take any damage? The skid plate really performed that well? I wish I were closer to Charlotte to get a look at it becuase as e30's go, this is what I've been looking for and still haven't been able to own one! A little more info is greatly appreciated.
