Has a European racing DOGLEG TRANSMISSION from a Euro spec 323i with 3.23 LSD and driveshaft all from donor car. The transmission completely changes this car compared to other e30s, it literally feels like a race car with its close gear ratios...5th gear is 1:1
Mods since I've had it:
ground control coilovers with camber plates and full adjustable valving Koni struts, ground control rear strut mounts
Water, pump, fan clutch, timing belt, thermostat and all serpentine belts replaced about 2K ago
New fuel pump, fuel filter and starter about 3K ago
Valves adjusted to 10th of a thousandths with new valve cover and manifold gaskets
Transmission has redline gear oil, LSD flushed with royal purple
17 inch BBS style 5 rims that are OEM from an E39 5 series on 215/45 R17 Kumho tires
Smoked DEPO Smileys with 5K HIDs (have stock bulls eyes still)
Story of the car:
I'm in contact with the previous two owners still, great BMW gear heads. 3rd owner ago from FLorida bought the car from an older women that babied it her whole life because it was an automatic at time, he went through and did the swap to the dogleg transmission. 2nd owner ago his wife drove it as a daily back and forth on the highway for about a 1.5 years and then I came and bought it out of Louisiana and brought it back to Florida, has 202K on the dash. Still have stock suspension and OEM basket weaves that came with it. I love this thing to death I just want an M car, seems like the next step. If interested in buying: stock suspension and wheels 6K, with wheels and coil overs 9K, open to trades particularly M5 or M6
