Garage kept 325iX For Sale. 3 previous owners, and looking for its next. Full records since purchased in 2011. This AWD E30 has been a daily driver through the last two winters here in the northeast and ready for the next. Most of the mileage coming from weekday highway commuting, and weekends back and forth to northern New England mountains. It comes with a Thule Ski/Snowboard rack, trunk ski bag, seat warmers, winter mats and a set of snow tires with 2 seasons left. 90k on engine, 193k on body.
This car is a champ in all weather, but it’s truly a winter warrior. To those unfamiliar with the AWD E30’s, the only other vehicle I could compare this too is a previously owned 4x4 Jeep Wrangler. With the right tires, it plows through anything. Yet, like a mid 90’s Jeep, this car has its share of battle scars. There are small rust spots behind the front wheel wells, and underneath the battery tray. The wheels have curb rash, and the four corners of the roof are scratched up from a thief’s success at stealing the original roof rack. Again, this car could use some body work, but (sorry for the cliché) what iX in the northeast doesn’t.
The positive. The block is an R-DOT factory rebuild currently with 90k miles. The cylinder head is an 885 Rebuild from Markert Motorworks currently with 50k miles. Both were resurfaced, torqued, and timed by the german gods at My Garage in Naugatuck, CT @ 139k. New head gasket and timing belt as of September this year. Exhaust, clutch, fuel, cooling, ignition components, seals, gaskets, nuts, bolts and washers supporting the engine were all replaced with only OEM parts. Oil changes every 5k with Mobil 1 Synthetic. All driveline fluids, transmission, transfer case, and differentials, flushed and filled with Redline product within the last year. A/C system converted to R134a. Interior is in excellent condition, and only needs a head unit, the factory amplifier replaced by a trunk mounted 4-channel amplifier.
I’ve truly enjoyed this car, and hope it finds a great home. Serious buyers only, no joy rides.
