    FS: 1991 318iS with S52 Swap

Selling my car which I have driven maybe 10x or less since I've owned. I purchased it from a gentleman in North Carolina in mid October of 2014, so I've basically had it for 5 months or so. Had it professionally shipped in an enclosed trailer, and it's been garaged underground ever since. I've put a grand total of 601 miles on it. Car has 193,675K on the chassis, and not sure how many on the motor. I asked the previous owner about the mileage on the motor, and he didn't know. The original owner (who performed all the modifications) did not respond to a PM.

Car runs amazingly well. Haven't had a single issue with it (granted I've only driven it a handful of times). I took it to a very reputable local BMW indie shop for a full inspection (http://www.autosportwerks.com) and the mechanic (who's owned a dozen or so e30s) said this was the cleanest one he'd ever seen, and it checked out great.

The one issue with the car now:

The passenger door does not open. I bought the part required for the fix (door actuator), but haven't had time to install it. The indie shop quoted $300. ($200 labor, $100 part).

    Asking $14K.

All you need to know about the car, including a bunch of pics, and original detailed build thread, is located here:

Reason for selling: I'm moving to a different state where I will not have a garage in which to park it in, as well as other personal reasons which I could elaborate upon if you're interested. I'm also just not interested in cars much at all at this point in my life, for the same reason.

Thanks, and please let me know if you have any questions.

Here are some absolutely terrible photos that I took:

Bummer to see this great car get passed around so much. It sure looked nice when Joel got it completed and I know he put a ton of work and money in it. Too bad it's not back here in NC. I'm sure you'll find an owner without too much trouble. Heckuva nice car.

I know, I really intended to keep this car forever, but some serious personal things came up, and now I have to let it go. :(

autosportwerks are great. They work/worked on both my swap cars. They know their way around e30s.

bump for a beauty. Wish I had need for another one!

Yeah, I used to take my M3 to Cal, he's an awesome dude. Now his son has taken over, and he's a great guy too. Thanks for the bump!
