m60 swap questions, Wiring and brakes

Ok first off I'm simplifying the engine harness. Is there a reason there's so much wire in those boxes? Can't I just cut out some of the excess lengths? I'm trying to do away with the boxes and just put stuff in loom.
Secondly theres a second ecu plug next to my dme 404 plug. What is it? the car was a auto but I'm using a manual. Can I get rid of that wiring?
And lastly guys that use the garagistic pedal set-up what size master cylinder did you use? They recommend 5/8 but I want to make sure that's the best for what I'm doing. The car will get tracked but mostly a daily driver, I don't want a really squishy pedal. Honestly would probably rather be a little on the stiff side.
    Thanks for the info.

The second plug near the dme was for the automatic transmission computer. You won't need that. I've been looking into what can be deleted to get rid of that plug. Doesn't seem worth it. Will probably end up causing shorts in the loom.

The brake debate has many routes. I'd suggest a lot of research and figure out which option is best for you.

Hey thanks for the info, That's exactly what I needed to know. I'll just leave the second plug alone. I guess I'll start with the 5/8 and go from there. Thanks again
