    1991 e30 coupe - m50 turbo

    ****SOLD****

Hey guys, so unfortunately the e30 is up for sale. I’ve been really busy, and am picking up 2 volunteer jobs so my time to play with this awesome car in the next year or 2 will be nonexistent.

This is hands down the most exciting car i have ever had the chance of owning or being in. It was a blast to drive NA and now turboed is something else. I started the build to make an all around machine, something I could drive daily, take to the track, autox, drag. I planned on never selling this car so all parts were picked for quality and durability. Every single nut and bolt was tightened and triple checked by me and it gives me a piece of mind when I drive the car.

This is not a quick build job to make as much hp as possible with as little $$ kind of car. Because of this I rather sell it the way it is and whoever is looking for a car like this can finish it as they please. I was planning on doing a paintjob, exterior trims, carpet, interior and engine wire tuck to finish the car off but I have no time to do it right. I rather sell it to someone who has the means to do so.

This car gets a ton of attention. I have never driven it for more than a block without someone turning their head. I get a thumbs up everywhere I go. People always stop to ask me about it. I get nonstop compliments on it. Its been on almost every popular e30 instagram page where it has also received a ton of attention. It has been the most exciting car I have ever owned and I am not excited to let it go. * I have had the editor of performance BMW email me about the potential interest of the car. For someone interested, this car is in the doorway for a feature.

Almost every mod listed has less than 1000 miles on it. Everything on the car works well and there are no problems/ issues. The chassis is straight. The body is straight. Unfortunately the only cosmetic issue is the paint is almost non-existant. A new paintjob would make this a show car. Every part has been given attention: Drivetrain, brakes, suspension. The car pulls hard. The tune is conservative and reliable. The car is 100% ready for fun.

The engine: The engine is internally stock on stock compression. I DD a 335i so I wanted similar turbo response with minimal turbo lag. Decided the 50 trim was perfect and with the stock compression the car has torque throughout the entire powerband. Full torque hits at 2.5k rpm. The car was tuned by Mike at TRM tuning for 300whp/300wtq at 11psi through their turbo tuning package. (60lb injectors/high flow MAF). I have made sure to keep safety and reliability a priority so along with a conservative tune the car is fitted with a giant 8 x 11 oil cooler coming from a euro oil filter housing with internal oil thermostat. Water cooling is taken care of with a big slim puller fan on a mishimoto radiator and new hoses. The turbo, clutch, drivetrain, oil/water cooling,, etc. can easily support much more power. With a thicker headgasket and ARP studs this car can reliably give 400whp/wtq. Any retunes with TRM are also very cheap since the car already has their tuning package. For my purposes it was unnecessary so I never went that route.

**during one run of tuning boost controller was tightened much more than before and engine held 19psi and made 395wtq so motor is very strong. Dialed down to 11psi for safety/reliability.

Suspension: Ground Control keeps the car planted. 450lb springs in front 700lbs in rear. The car is stiff but not uncomfortable to dd. I have never taken a corner in any other car like I can in this one. The car really sticks.

Brakes: For the weight of this car the stock rotors and hp+ track pads stop the car on a dime. Haven’t had any need for anything else. Pads and rotors were broken/ set in according to the instruction.

Interior: The carpet and rear seats are removed. Cloth sport seats are super comfortable and the bolsters hold you in well. They are clean, no stains. Not sure what kind of speakers but they sound good. Sony head unit with aux chord. Nardi suede steering wheel. Aem digital boost and AFR gauges.

Exterior: I went with kamotors fender flares to allow for more aggressive wheel/tire fitment. Wheels are forged STR 518’s. 17x9 19lbs. Tires are like new, excellent dry and wet grip (less than 1000 of daily miles on them) Toyo proxes r1rs 245/35/17 on all 4 corners. Traction is not an issue on this car. New smoked headlights. Quality HIDs of course. All black trim.

I have not raced/dragged/autox the car. I have done dyno pulls and a couple street pulls but beside that the 1000 miles put on since build have been just driving around town/highway.

Great build man. Really sad to see people let go of their cars after so much work. I'm sure it will come back into your hands

Some cars are simply appealing, though you can't say exactly what it is about them...maybe just well-proportioned. Your car is definitely one of them. It's hard to take your eyes off of it. If I had an extra 14gs, I would be seriously tempted. GLWS

I've had a photo of this car saved as inspiration. I wish I had the cash. I hope it finds a good home, and I hate to hear you've got to part ways with it.

Wow this is an awesome e30! Bummed to see it for sale. How did you like those R1R's? I'm thinking about buying a set to replace my ZII Star Specs and haven't seen much besides on the Lotus forums. Good luck with the sale man!
