hi guys
Up for sale is my 1989 BMW 325i in dolphin grey, 2 door and 5 speed. It has done only 53.4k miles since it left the showroom and is in excellent shape.
It was a one owner car until nov2013. Since i bought the car, at 51.7k miles on the odometer, i have addressed a few maintenance points and also made a few modifications in order to make the car a bit sportier without interfering too much with its OEM look. Let me list what has being done during my ownership:
- new timing belt
- new water pump
- new alternator
- new front shocks
- new battery
- couple of hoses replaced
I don't have the receipts of service work for the water pump and timing belt because it was changed by the previous owner himself before delivering the car to me. I should have records for everything else, on top of that the service booklet also has records of some of the maintenance service of the car.
Few light mods done to the car:
- original bottle caps wheels swapped to 15in BBS euroweaves (in excellent condition)
- standard e30 steering wheel replaced by Mtech1 wheel in good shape
- bmw leather shift knob replaced the old plastic one
- sport leather seats in black from a 325is with similar mileage replaced the original vinyl comfort ones
- new H&R OE sport springs replaced the original ones for a sportier stance
- OEM exhaust with chromed tips
The car has a clean carfax, straight body, no history or evidence of accidents and absolutely no rust. i didnt actually check for EVERY SINGLE vin tag, such as the ones on the inside part of bumpers, but from what i can tell the car has matching vin tags in all panels. The original painting still shines very nicely and is in good condition (although not excellent), there re a few minor scratches and one small ding on the hood (pictured) . there s no pictures of the wheel caps, but they re not missing, i just prefer the look without and keep them at home.
In my honest opinion the interior is in excellent condition, the AC blows cold and have already been upgraded to R134 by the first owner; electric mirrors, windows, onboard computer all work as they should and there re no funny alert lights going off, dashboard is crack free and the odometer works. The spare tire and jack have probably never been touched. Interior and trunk carpet have no stain. Original antenna still goes up and down when you turn on/off the radio. The original steering wheel will be included
There s one bad thing to mention, the sunroof coat seems to be slightly fading and its shade looks a bit lighter than the rest of the car depending on how much light you have outside, pictures included so you can take your own conclusions. The reason for this is because the sunroof panel came from a parts car; Right after buying the vehicle i decided to do a moonroof conversion and unfortunately ended up selling the original panel to another board member, so when i started considering selling it i had to source a delphin gray panel.
A couple reasons why i m selling the car: as of now i have too many cars and my house has a 2 car garage. I wont have space for that car indoors and i believe such car just doesnt deserve to be sat outside; i also have another e30 with similar mileage that i use for daily driving and as much as i like them, one e30 is enough for my growing family.
For those of you looking to get more info on the car, i suggest using the vin number, not the license plate; i unregistered the car a couple of weeks ago after purchasing an audi avant for my wife.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions and i ll do my best to answer in the best possible way; as you all know, nice E30's are becoming harder to find and this particular one is an excellent car that wont disappoint you.
Also, as an additional info for potential buyers, the car s bought from a board member and has always been serviced at the shop of another member; i m pretty sure they can share their view about the car if requested.
the price is 13.5k OBO.
thks for having a look
