Start up but then loses fuel

Hey R3v finally got to start up my car after a while since i put a new headgasket in. But first start didn't seem to go well. Wasn't anything electrical..
Thinking it might be the FPR, the check valve or an actual fuel line.. any help & suggestions to find out what else it could be are really appreciated thanks.

Idk why the quality looks like i recorded with a potato lol

After letting the car sit for a while i tried to turn it back on gave it some gas this time and it started to smell a lot like gasoline and found a puddle of it on the floor. :( Leak was coming from the bottom line into the fuel rail. Tip of the hose was cracked so i cut it and adjusted it back on.
Started the car once more and gave it a little bit of gas, rechecked the hose, no leak this time but still wouldnt stay on...

guess which one is the feed line, aim it in a bucket and carefully crank the car over observing is gas shoots out of it.

Yep! The return is attached to the regulator.

Yup had the feed line correct. Rechecked the tips of both in and out of lines. Cleaned up the icv this time just a bit more and now it starts differently.

no potato vid this time lol

Going to check the fuel filter next..
what else do you guys think it could be ?

Also I just noticed that the hose that goes to the brake booster is hella "scratched" up at the bottom near the brake booster itself.. can this also be a problem ?

Yup!! Rechecked them and all were in exact order. Even checked that the cables were connected and tight on the ignition coil. :???:

Changed the fuel filter today and that gave it a small kick to start up..

Didn't sound steady to me.. Plus I started to see some smoke around the cylinder head.. might of been some bit of oil burning but I'm gonna recheck the valves tomorrow and see if some still need an adjustment just to be secure.

You guys still think it has to be something with any fuel lines or what else can it be ?

Sighhh. Wish I had this car running at its first start !!!

Pull the rubber boots off the c191 connector and inspect the wiring on both sides.

Yooooo... I did have a wire that was cut with only electric tape on it and I had to splice it back when I put everything in. :( It might have gotten loose during the process. This might be the problem.. Will check it tomorrow for sure. Thanks for this suggestion man!!!

Woooow... It was the c191 connector... PO had soldered the top of the wire connecting to another one and there's about 3 small individual copper wires that didn't get soldered in with the rest. Ugh so unlucky that I didn't see that. The only splice I saw was on the bottom that was kept together with electric tape...

Tried to splice it back but the wire is too short now.. :(

With that said does anyone have an extra c191 connector ??
