it's easier since my car is 25+ years old.

and I'm bumping this up now.

I have the AMG bug, and I do believe it's time for my precious to find a new equally loving mature owner who will take care of her just as I did\currently do.

I have lower my asking prove to $8400USD, which in my opinion is free of E30 taxes given the amount of PROPER work and quality of parts that have been thrown into this swap, not to mention the quality of the body and car overall.

I know it's the greatest time to be selling a vert in December, in Canada...but i'm pretty crafty and a fair person. If you're truly interested PM me here, or you can always text me anytime at

I think the price is fair, though it's a bad time of the year to sell a convertible. Maybe springtime will bring more luck?

Fair enough for sure. I purchased my vert last summer just before you posted this. Wish I had waited :-)

I chose the M30 over M5X/S5X for a multitude of reasons.

I wanted to maintain the period correctness of the engine swap, I wanted something that "matched" the car.
I'm not a speed freak, but I do appreciate the strength these engines offer. I really enjoy the low end grunt and torque the M30b35 offers, and the inline 6 sound (along with the exhaust and headers) is really something else. It's not obnoxious loud, but you certainly know there's something special under the hood.

I'm working on interior pics, and I can get some rust bubble pics either tonight or within the next day or so.

Here's the build thread incase anyone is curious- lots of random other pictures of the car in here-->
