VIN - plant of manufacture? "9"? Why am I having trouble?

    Hello,
I have a 87 325 that I just can't figure out the plant it was made in.

    E30 Coupe 325e USA L M

    WBAAB5404H9802318

I can figure out everything else... the number 9 is in the plant position.

Does anyone know what I'm missing? What plant was my 325 made in?
    Thank you!!!!

Well since its an 87 it was probably made in the munich plant, which exclusively made 3 series by that time, or the Dingolfing plant, which had been in operation since 1967. They didnt finish the Regensberg plant till late 87 so its doubtful they made it there. Should narrow down your google results a bit having two plants to choose from.
