The Tachometer, Econometer and Temperature Gauge in my 1987 325i died. I (and most others) suspect the SI board.
My cluster is a VDO. I have a spare Motometer cluster and Motometer NOS SI board.
Is this NOS SI board, dated Feb 1990, usable? Would it interchange with the VDO unit? Should I assume the unused Lithium batteries will have age failure?
Can the Motometer cluster be used as a parts source for the VDO cluster? The VDO odometer just died and would the Motometer unit work in the VDO cluster?
