    Is this car worth it?

I'm not sure if I'm in the right spot, I don't want to break any rules. I'm in the market for another e30 and I want one that is pretty much problem free. This car is about 4 hours from me. Is it worth the asking price?

    Any advice is much appreciated!

considering it has working a/c and doesn't look like trash, id say yeah. Seems pretty reasonable to me
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

Thanks guys, I was looking at the dash as a deal killer too lol. The a/c caught my attention too, in tx is mandatory, heaters are only for defrost here. I talked to the owner the sunroof doesn't work so he sealed it, means nothing to me. And no ps, understandable. I'm like $1,500 short, I wish I already sold my zhp...

Sealed the sunroof?! To me thats a deal breaker, ps could be put back in if you wanted it.

Sunroof is sealed? That's kinda lame. No powersteering would probably get annoying as hell too.

Why is the sunroof that big of an issue? Is it the fact it takes away from the car as a whole? I understand that because I do get a bit ocd to keep my cars tip top, but it would seem like a secondary concern. Am I way off?

I also figured the no ps was because of the swap/ room constraints. I know it's common in the civic world but they're fwd and probably alittle lighter, but I've never owned or driven a ps car with the ps removed.

The guy is asking top dollar for a car with issues. If he half assed the leaky sunroof, I'd hate to take a closer look at the swap.

This. The swap may be fine, but even if the sun roof was inop, it would take a five minute search to find that it's the drains that are clogged and not a lack of sealing.

I agree with the others, its really odd to me the he sealed the sunroof. Other then that the car looks good, but priced a bit high for those other two issues.

Beckster, that one is nice and closer I think, but I swore off red cars years ago.

I guess I didn't think about it that way bc I've done it to a car but it wasn't a BMW and I was 17. Thanks exodus. I do feel the price is high but there's something about it, I'm guessing the stance.

It doesn't need to be an Sxx swap, Id be happy with a fresh m20. What I dont want is a basket case or a full project. Something I can semi-dd, mod more than repair and definitely track.
                        Does this sound accurate?
                        $3-5k for a solid m20 e30
                        $4-6500 for a solid m50 e30
                        6-8k for a solid s50 e30

I wish all forums were as helpful as y'all are thank you.

let them swap in an S52, which they'll be making again next week.

c'mon, R3v, we're taking this one farrrrrrrr too serrrrriously.....

(and OP, if the swap is done well and the parts really are all new, it's a very fair price.
If the swap's poorly done, it's all original bushings and shit, and the interior is a mess,
                          it's overpriced.
But it comes down to you- if YOU think it's worth it, it is.)

What we are saying is that if it has a cut corner on something as easy as a sunroof, it's likely had many corners cut.

Super shitty description, but I think I would pay 6500 tops for it.

It's worth a look, especially since most of these guys post a higher price, but will take far less once it has been on the market a while.

And I'm pretty sure this car is in the CL finds thread, maybe you posted it, I can't remember.

Little issues are the fun part of you are like me and haven't the time nor space, at this stage in life, to do a full swap.
