    Diff stud kit

Hi, is there a place that sells just the stud kit. I've seen the ones with the spacers, but can't seem to find one without.
Or just what's the thread and pitch so I can't buy some studs.

What exactly are you talking about?

12mm fine thread (1.5mm). IF you go to a fastener store, they should have appropriate sized set screws that will do the trick - otherwise you will have to buy threaded rod and cut it up.

I believe he is talking about raising the sub frame to avoid camber wear on a lowered car.

The 4 bolts that bolt it to the subframe. It's just a pain to get the 4 bolts lined up sometimes.

When installing diffs, I like to jack it up close to where it needs to go, then start the bolts while it's still about 1/2" away for the sub frame. Give you a little more wiggle room. Also two of the bolt hoes are slotted, put those in last.

Another way you could make the stud on the cheap is to buy 12mmx1.5 all thread bolts and cut the heads off...

Guess I just never really had a problem, though I've only pulled/put back in a few diffs. I guess if you were swapping out diffs a lot it would be helpful.

                  Best idea. Common thread pitch.

If you don't have studs, just put in the two bottom bolts upside down to line it up. After you get the top bolts in, take the bottom ones out and reinstall them right side up.

We have done this. it Makes swapping the diff out SUPER easy. just used Metric Threaded rod and then put a chamfer on the end. get some nuts, have a spares for at the track and red locktite. works like a charm, and with the threaded rod you can have several ready and made up for a multitude of diffs on demand. and could swap them out with one person and no jack.
