    PNW Area - 2001 530i M-SportII Rare 5 Speed Manual 75000mi

    Hello all:

Firstly please read: This car is located in Vancouver Canada (2 hours north of Seattle). Please familiarize yourself with any import procedures required to bring it home into the US.

    ******

2001 E39 530i 5 Speed Manual M-Sport. This is the end game for most BMW enthusiasts who want style AND reliability AND quality for a reasonable price. Working class M5. I am selling because I find myself in constant round robin of repairs between my E30, my Xterra, this 530i (see distinguished list of work done below) and my scooter.

Firstly, this is an extremely, extremely, rare car in this combo of M-Sport, Manual, 3.0L I6 and TiAG. Canadian market had **15** units, US had basically 3 because there was officially no M-sport for the 530i (just 540i).

Service history summary with previous owner was obtained from Burrard BMW Vancouver BC.

Ownership lineage: Owned by West side lawyer most of its life, passed within family to his son and daughter in law. I bought it from them.
Full receipts of work under my care and excel spreadsheet tabulating ALL of it will be provided.

    Key specs:
    - Ultra low 122,000 km (75,800 Miles)
    - M52 3.0L I6 228 HP (more reliable and maintenance friendly motor than the 540i)
    - No accidents
    - 5 speed MANUAL
    - Black Msport leather interior, black headliner
    - Power SR, Windows, memory heated seats, dual zone climate

    Recent work after 117,000km:

    - New AC Delco new Battery
    - New Water pump and T-stat
    - New Water pump pulley + tensioner pulley + idler pulley
    - New radiator hoses
    - New serpentine belts
    - BMW Coolant
    - All other cooling components verified to be 2013 installed.
    - New shocks x 4, new OEM Sachs
    - New front control thrust arms x 2
    - New air filter / Oil Filter / Spark plugs
    - New foglights and M-technic bezel
    - New front bumper M-technic under-aero bits
    - New front bumper M-technic rubstrips
    - New outside air temperature sensor

    Tasteful body and cosmetic:
    - Black kidneys
    - LED angel eyes

    Imperfections:
    - Curbage on 3 of 4 wheels from some soccer mom duty.
    - One rocker has a slight dent, from also said soccer mom duty
    - There is a squealing pulley upon cold starting the engine. Goes away after warming up. I suspect it's the last accessory pulley that I didn't get around to replacing. Definitely NOT engine internals, because the squeal goes away if you sprinkle water onto the front of the engine on the outside.
    - Radio has moderate dead pixels, classic E39 problem.

$7700 USD. As this is a cross border transaction, cash is best as I am not sure if we can do bank drafts otherwise. I will support you with any bill of sale type documents as you require.

Nice car, even has the more desirable trim option rather than the wood trim.

Good price, good luck with the sale, if it were anywhere remotely close to me it would sell for more.

Wow, as a lowly 525i driver I want this so bad. I have thought about the 540i m-sports out here on the US East Coast but they are stupid expensive. I refuse to pay $12k for a 13 year old car with 100k miles when my 1/3 as good (ok maybe 1/4) 525i was $5k and it's pristine. You're in the right price range to pull people away from an e30 that isn't much quicker and doesn't hold a candle in terms of refinement and usability. GLWS

          Thanks a lot gents.

To clarify: The trim is wrapped with 3M. It's a professional effort. The original trim beneath it is indeed wood, which I found to be too old man like. No non-M5 E39 came with brushed metal trim.

Thanks for the reinforcement that I am in the right $ball park.
