    Just measured an M60B40

Dimension wise, it will fit. Realistically, it would be one hell of a lot of work. I'm not one to shy away from difficulties or outlandish ideas, but this is one that I doubt I'll ever try. Based on my actual measurements, there will be approximately 10cm of exhaust clearance on each side of the frame rails in the engine compartment (TIGHT). The radiator/cooling system situation would be a nightmare. Impossible? no, not hardly. Difficult? highly difficult. Based on actual measurements, it would be simpler to install a 5.0L V12 since the V angle and width of the heads of the 12er is narrower.

God-like props to those who have attempted and completed the M60 conversion. I think the M50 is more inline with my abilities and my budget.
Don't forget the good things Hitler did.

I'm sure you could hammer some stuff for all those tight clearances.

yes that is the brake booster up by the headlights. you should see the linkage he had to build in order to make it work.

http://www.germanautosport.com has some more images as well.. call them and talk to damon. awesome guy. that car is ridiculously fast and the motor is stock. he's waiting on some cams to make it even faster.

That entire braking setup is nearly identical to my 95 530i m60b30. The confined space under the e30 hood would make fitment of everything extremely tight. Simple maint such as the serpentine belt, as said above, would be a bitch.
