I bought this whodwho built board used from another member, was told it was in perfect condition blah blah blah. ever since i got it the iat sensor and icv has never worked. Im not longer using megasquirt so id like to get the board fixed and working.
Heres what i got
I have a complete spare harness and temp sensor so I've been bench testing everything as if it were in the car.
Originally i was getting 12v at the iat sensor which i know it should have 5v. i found that problem to be the icv transistor to be shorted on the iat wire because it runs directly under it in the printed circuit board. I pried the transistor up a bit and that fixed that short. so then i had 5 vols but still not reading. with the sensor plugged in i had 5v going back at pin 26(air temp ground) After looking closes i found the ground wire in the pcb that does the iat and it looked burnt and even broken. So i made up a jumper to pass the broken part and then and now im getting a reading on my multi meter that corresponds the the temp vs resistance when i put it on pin 44(air temp sensor) for instance at room temp i get around 2.3k ohm and if i heat the sensor up with a lighter the resistance goes way down. So it would appear everything is working as it should, however in tunrerstudio it shows 70 degrees. and thats what it has always shown with the sensor plugged in or not it never changes. If i change the calibration table on turnerstudio the reading will change but thats it, its not actually taking a reading from the sensor.
What else could be wrong? or what else can i try?
