working on a new interior ...

16 years after purchase, i finally bit the bullet & decided to freshen up my cabrio's interior ... i snagged the mtech II wheel first, newly covered with perforated napa leather with M seams ... now, today, the matching leather console just arrived after ordering 6 weeks ago ... very pleased with the quality & craftsmanhip ...

i ordered the front door cards/door pulls/map pockets 2 weeks ago ... next month i order the rear panel cards, shifter & handbrake booty & handbrake grip ... & finally, in september, i will order the front/back seat's skins ... wish i could have afforded to do it all in just one order but that's the way it goes ...

didn't think that the console would look so much different wrapped in leather until i opened the package & got a look/see ... i'm now a believer ... well worth waiting 16 years for .......

thanks, jeff ... that's why i ordered the seat shocks from you ... now all i need are new seat heating pads by october ... i figured if i was to do the seats first, i would lose interest in the rest of the interior because it's going to be kinda pricey ... so i tricked myself & i'm doing the steering wheel, console, front door cards with door pulls & map pockets & rear side cards first ... then the front/back seats will be the last thing to do like icing on a cake ... my original interior is still looking good except for the driver's seat bolster, so time is on my side regarding wear & tear

Love that steering wheel. How about the rest of the interior like the seats?

thanks ... i've always thought the mtech II steering wheel was one of the best ... i'm going to wrap the interior 1st before wrapping the seats in october ... going to do the whole interior in 2 tone ... lotus white napa with silver grey napa for the inserts ... i'm just tired of trying to keep an all white interior looking good after 16 years
