    1989 325i Sedan with 5 Speed

Decent E30, this was my wife's.
We sold it to her sister when our third little one came along. Said sister-in-law ran it out of oil and blew the motor in short order :/

Had a friend swap a low mile (61,000) motor from my parts car. It cranks, runs, and drives. Needs someone who knows tuning to perfect it.

AC worked last time I drove it... As did the cruise control.
Rust on the sunroof (inop) but not leaking. Needs paint and upholstery in the front.

Have just over $3k in it. I'll take $1,200 from any one here who loves E30s.

Send me your numbers via PM and I'll text you photos. I put an M20 from a 1988 E30 Vert into it.

It is Manual (5 spd) from the factory.

Does it drive well enough to get to North Carolina from Florida?

I'd say "potentially" either needs plugs or the gas is old. I'd plan a few days of wrenching before driving back. I do have 4 local-ish folks who say they're coming this week.
