Sport seat Q's *update, new question for the pros*

One of those cables came loose.

I know you pull the handle out but what is involved in removing the surround? Just pinch it and pull?

Then do I just lift up on the seatbacks?

Gotta keep these workin till i can get the SRDs.

You talking seat back, right? the little surround pops off easily, no worries. Screws on the back panel down low, then lust lift up and the panel comes off. There are two #3 phillips screws that hold the seatback down tight. Mine were loose and the seatback shifted side to side, that's as far as I got in there.

kewl, once i get the backs off I will probably poke around in there to see what else I can find. My seats are pretty loose, might need some tightening up (hopefully that is all).

Ok, got the cable back in and found that one of the shocks popped loose from all the play in my seat so I removed the seat. Got the whole seat tight now and it works great, but one thing....

I have found that the bulk of my play is in the slider system, figured so. How do I get the sliders out to possibly service or replace the metal bearings and sliders? Or can I even? Do I have to get a whole new rail?

By the looks of the ETK it one complete and eveyr expensive looking unit. :( I hope my ETK proves to be just outdated. I want the copy the dealer has, it has many parts not listed in mine.

what about for the crappy vinyl seats? they don't spring up when you pull the handle. i wanna get adjustable racing seats some time, so I'm gonna leave the crappy vinyl in there in the meantime

take a look at jordans tech article about seat reupholstering, he tells you how to take them apart in-there.
