Hello all!
Just purchased my first BMW, and I am very excited to join the family. Been wanting an E30 for a few years now!
Here are some details:
- 1992 BMW 325i Cabriolet
- Automatic transmission
- Almost completely stock
- 107K Original Miles (Odometer Working)
- UPDATE 11/20: Now at nearly 116K miles!
- Retractable roof non-functional (manual only)
- Owner told me I should probably have the timing belt and an alignment done soon
- Idle is a little bit rough, so I'll be getting a tune up alongside the timing belt
- All power windows, buttons, etc work, save for the retractable roof.
- Front seats have been recovered. Very well done, I may add.
I paid $3,900 for it.

Improvements I've done thus far:
- New Cap and Rotor
- New Spark Plugs
- New Timing Belt
- New Water Pump
- New Thermostat
- New Heater Core
- New Fan Clutch
- New Pirelli Tires (updated 11/20)
- 9-Piece Control Arm Update Kit from PCPEuro (updated 11/20)
- New Bilstein Sport Shocks (updated 11/20)
- New H&R Sport Springs (updated 11/20)
- New Stereo Head Unit (Jensen Heavy Duty JHD3630BT) (updated 11/20)
What I'd like to work on next:
Fixing the Idle
I'm going to start with the Idle Control Valve, then the Idle Control Module. One thing to note as well, the AC system affects the idle. When the A/C is turned on, the RPMs kick up, and then it affects my shifting.
When I'm driving highway, for example, and take my foot off the accelerator, it seems to suddenly downshift in a somewhat dramatic fashion. Again, this goes away if A/C is off.
Any other suggestions, keeping in mind that all the above improvements haven't changed the idle at all?

Tires
<<UPDATE 11/20>>
New Pirelli tires installed.
<<>>
Other
Car makes a funny noise on start-up. Goes away after I drive for a bit or if I sit idle for about 10 minutes.

Any ideas what this is?
Glad to be a part of the family. Thanks, y'all.
