    Blew my block

I have been the happy driver of an 88 325ic for three weeks. It took a parts car and about 8 mths. Then I blew it up.
Luckily I have a backup motor. My question is what should I refresh/replace in my spare before reinstalling? I've already cleaned it up all nice, but I want to get back on the road and stay pretty cheap.

Next time, I would put oil in it.

They last a lot longer that way.

Timing belt/tensioner/WP, front/rear main seals if seeping, and any other hard to reach seal/gasket. Beyond that it's all more than "cheap."

Yea. I have the timing stuff. No seepage. I'll give it another once over. I'm wondering about bearings.

No. I read online that it doesn't need it. Air is the new M power.

That would be... kinda cool, if air bearings could be made to take that kind of loading...
